To Recycle or not to Recycle at South Middle School...

South Middle School first began the recycling endeavor in the 2008-2009 school year. We began with paper recycling in classrooms, plastic bag recycling, and also ink cartridges and cell phones recycling. Batteries are now being recycled.  At the end of last school year, the district purchased can and bottle recycling bins for our cafeteria. We use the bottle deposit money for various activities we sponsor as a Green Team. 


We became a Wayne County, Michigan Green School March 19, 2010!
